For dynamic action photography the LEICA MOTOR-DRIVE R8/R9 lets you shoot at the ultra-fast rate of up to 4.5 frames per second. Thanks to the integral hand strap, the camera/ motor drive combination always fits comfortably in your hands. Two separate shutter releases on the LEICA MOTOR DRIVE R8/R9 ensure user-friendly shooting in with the camera oriented horizontally or vertically. The vertical format shutter release can be locked to prevent it from being operated unintentionally. A combination twist knob is used to set the frame rate - single frame, two or 4.5 frames per second - and to activate a three-frame auto-bracketing sequence, which can be set for exposure variations of plus/minus 0.5EV or 1EV. Whether the aperture, shutter speed or both are varied in this operation is controlled by the photographer via the mode selector dial on the LEICA R8/R9. Thanks to a winding mechanism patented by Leica and featuring load-sensitive clutch and having a rubber-cushioned camera interface, the LEICA MOTOR-DRIVE R8/R9 runs very quietly and with very little vibration. It provides automatic film advance and rewind, and features a port for connection of the LEICA REMOTE CONTROL RC-R8/R9, an electric trigger switch, or a power supply unit.
