The compact LEICA MOTOR-WINDER R8/R9 - just 20 millimeters tall - harmoniously matches the body of the LEICA R8/R9 and lets you shoot at up to two frames per second. Thanks to a Leica-patented winding mechanism featuring load-sensitive clutch and a rubber-cushioned camera interface, it not only runs whisper-quiet, but also with very little vibration. When the film is inserted, the LEICA MOTOR-WINDER R8/R9 transports it automatically to the first frame, and also rewinds it automatically at the end - and you can set it so the film leader remains outside the cartridge. The handle - even more distinctive and grippable than the one on the LEICA R8/R9 - houses two type - 123, 3 Volt lithium cells, which also power the camera. In cold climates and/or for continuous duty, use of the LEICA POWER PACK MW-R8/R9 is recommended as an alternative power supply unit.
