- The EV-controller
was developed specifically for Ikelite DS Substrobes. Provides
10 manual settings in half-stop EV increments from precise illumination
of macro or wide-angle subjects.
- Secures to the base
of the Ikelite SA-100R Arm placing it at your fingertips for
easy access.
- When used with cameras
that have no provision for connecting an external flash, the
EV-Controller can be used in the slave mode. In the slave mode,
the EV-Controller is pointer toward the camera's built-in flash
which when fired triggers the EV-Controller and DS Substrobe.
- When used
with cameras that have provisions for external flash, the EV-Controller
can be connected to the Ikelite housings with the optional 4103.51
sync cord. When the EV-Controller is used with non-Ikelite
housings that utilize the Nikonos connector, the optional
4104.6 sync cord is used. When using a sync cord, the camera's
built-in flash is not required.
- Due to
its digital electronic circuitry the EV-Controller can only
be used with Ikelite DS Substrobes. The EV-Controller requires
no batteries and is compatible with both pre-flash and non pre-flash
cameras.
- For dual
strobes using the EV-Controller, both digital strobes must be
connected individually to a separate controller, aim the second
controller toward the subject or the primary strobe, or connect
both EV-Controllers via dual sync cord to the camera system.
