The G1380 head features separate pan and tilt variable drag control to produce smooth movement without detectable stops and starts. A separate pan and tilt lock is included and the sliding camera plate, used to balance the camera, can be rapidly locked or unlocked from the head with the camera still attached. A safety release is also incorporated to prevent the camera accidentally falling off. The 'Fluide' has a factory installed balance spring system available in six versions which cover the weights of today's digital and lightweight ENG cameras. Six color-coded tension springs for precision balancing for payloads from 2.2 lbs. to 22 lbs (2.2, 4.4, 11, 17.6, 19.8, and 22 lb rated springs)... in effect, six heads in one! Fluide heads are also available separately to fit a 75mm bowl or in kits, such as the carbon fiber G1338 or aluminum G1337 and G1340 tripods. |
