: I am going on a trip in 2 weeks and the housing I would like for my camera is not shipping until next month (aquatica) I am thinking of temp going with an EWA-marine U-axp. Do these take reasonable pictures with a boot flash. Would I be able to take better pictures if I also use a 105 as a slave?
: thanks, Jon

This is an excellent housing in it's class, that along with the Canon Digital Rebel/300D will give you very good results.

However, depending on water conditions, there is a risk of backscatter when using a camera-mounted flash due to it's proximity to the lens. This light source would be best for macro/close-up photography where there is a minimal water column between camera and subject. The SB-105 as a fill flash would give you all the advantages of a secondary strobe, but it won't eliminate the backscatter from the primary strobe, and it will be impossible to handle both housing and SB-105.
