Thanks for the info Chris!!! Appreciate your help
and hello from New Zealand

: Hi Simon,

: An Ike Ai and Ike 50 can be used together.

: Things to be aware of:
: -there is one to two stop difference in power between them. Which means you have to place the 50 closer to your subject to get the same exposure value that the Ai produces.
: -the ike 50 only has one manual setting: Full Power. Which means you have to control the exposure value by moving the 50 closer or further away or using diffusers.
: -the Ai/50 setup would work very well for close focus wide angle, the 50 acting as the fill flash.

: Ideally, for wide angle shooting, you should have a pair of matching strobes with manual power settings (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, full) and a set of one stop diffusers that you can quickly add or remove from either strobe.

: Take Care,
: ChrisS

: : I am looking to run a Ikelite SUB 50 with a Ikelite AI, this will be used with my nikonos V using a 20mm lense. Has any one used this combo before and can advise???
