: I'm re-discovering diving an UW photograohy after a 4 year abstention. I've been using a Nikonos V and SB103 strobe successfully for many years but at times I wished it had more output. I'd like to add another strobe to my equipment for use as dual strobe setup and or backup. Can I use a SB105 as a slave for my 103? Will I have to use the 2 in manual instead of TTL? What bracket/tray system should I look for? Can you suggest other brands to look into?
: Also considering a digital camera like the Canon C5050 for my wife. Any comments pro or con?
Paul:
Here is what you need for a dual Speedlight set-up:
#NK11202 NIKONOS SB-105 SPEEDLIGHT SET $545.00
#UP8911 UW PHOTO-TECH DUAL TRAY F/NIK $ 89.00
Yes, you can definitely slave the SB-105 to the SB-103, or you can purchase a dual TTL sync cord and TTL control both strobes.
#NK1121 NIKONOS SC-100W DBL TTL SYNC CORD $130.00
The OLympus C-5050 is a great camera and we sell several housing brands for it. The problem is that the C-5050 is discontinued and I don't know where you can get one.
So the C-5060 ($649.00) is the current model and we sell the Ikelite (www.ikelite.com), Light & Motion (www.uwimaging.com), and Olympus (www.olympusamerica.com) housings.
We have the C-5060 packaged with the Olympus PT-020 housing ($239.95) for $800.00. Or the camera packaged with the PT-020 housing, Olympus wide angle add-on lens and w.a. port for $1300.00. We also have digital strobes available for this housing.
