The Art of Making Great Prints

March 26, 2024   6:30 - 9:00 PM

Prints made of our photos, whether wall size murals or just post cards are a great way to show off our artistic accomplishments. Displaying your work on a wall, giving a print as a gift, even sending out your own photo post cards is very fulfilling and a great way to bring attention to your art. But making digital prints at home or sending the file out to be printed that matches your vision is not always easy. Dennis Biela a Master Printer with over 10 years experience will cover various subjects to help you make that outstanding print.

 Topics covered

  • How to judge color and brightness of your image file
  • Making black & white prints
  • What paper to use for the best appearance and longevity
  • How to calibrate your monitor and printer for the best consistency
  • Once printed how to protect and display them

During the 2nd portion of the class attendees will have the opportunity to make their own print plus ask Dennis questions on ways to improve your printing.

Dennis Biela is a working pro photographer and lecturer having taught for Apple and has been published in books and magazines.  His client list includes NASA, The Smithsonian and San Diego Air & Space Museum amongst others. Visit www.dbiela.com for more information.
