Overview
When you are shooting a big assignment, traveling in remote locations, your camera or flash batteries are drained and your are without access to electricity, then the ideal solution is the Turbo 3 Rechargeable Battery from Quantum Instruments. This is a high voltage battery that works with most shoe- and handle-mount professional quality flash units and all Quantum Qflash, T-series and Trio/Pilot portable flashes. The Turbo 3 has the capacity to provide 1050 full-power flashes for shoe-mount and 750 flashes for handle-mount flash units.
The Turbo 3 has two outlets so you can simultaneously power a digital camera and a flash or two flashes. Cables are secured to the battery with locking sockets so you don't have to worry about a cable falling out while you are in the middle of shooting. Compatible cables for Nikon, Canon and Qflash Trio are available (sold separately).
This NiMH battery is equipped with four "fuel gauge" LED status indicators which keep you aware of how much power you have left. Recycling times average one second and it takes about three hours to fully charge the unit with the included standard battery charger.
Turbo 3 is Quantum's highest-capacity battery. It weighs only 32 oz (900 g) and can be carried around easily with the included belt clip.
- Unlike other types of batteries, the Turbo 3 uses NiMH batteries that have no "memory." You can "top off" your Turbo 3 at any time, or give it a quick charge to get a few more shots.
- Secure locking flash cables for Nikon, Canon and Qflash TRIO with the locking sockets of the Turbo 3 are sold separately.
- The Turbo 3 is supplied with a belt clip, and has fittings for an optional shoulder strap. It can also be conveniently mounted on a light stand or tripod, using the optional Quantum Battery Clamp (QBC).
- Using the two outlets on the Turbo 3, you can simultaneously power a digital camera and a flash or two flashes.
- A standard charger (100-240 volts) is included with the Turbo 3. Chargers are also available for many other countries, and for your vehicle.
- After long and/or frequent use, the internal battery can be replaced by Quantum Instruments at a nominal cost.
- To check the Turbo 3 capacity when it is not connected, depress the ON button until the "fuel gauge" LED display comes on to read the power level. The gauge will automatically turn off.

Sekonic introduces the Illuminometer i-346, a simple, easy-to-use lux/foot candle meter for monitoring illumination in workplace and other environments. Small enough to carry in a shirt pocket, it has large LCD readout and simplified controls. Readings can be made in three ways: Single, continuous, or delayed up to 60 seconds for use when reflection from the operator may affect the reading outcome. The readout can be customized to display in either lux (lx) or footcandle (fc) increments. A single AA-size battery powers the i-346 for up to 20 hours of continuous reading. When not in use, it automatically switches off after 4 minutes to save power.

The Sekonic L-208 TWINMATE is a palm-sized analog light meter for hand-held incident and reflected ambient light readings. Small and light, the L-208 TWINMATE can also be mounted onto your camera or bracket - using the included hot-shoe adapter for quick, camera-positioned reference readings as you work. Though designed primarily for entry-level users, long-time shooters look to the Sekonic L-208 TWINMATE as an accurate, easy-to-stow, back-up meter. Owners of rangefinder cameras who desire and incident and reflected meter also appreciate the included shoe mount. A sliding lumisphere enables accurate incident readings. Retract the lumisphere, and you can now take reflective readings. The silicon photo diode receives light at an angle of 33-degrees , which is slightly narrower than the angle-of-view of a normal lens. A hold-and-read function maintains the reading for 15 seconds after releasing the measurement button to allow you time to evaluate your settings. Small, compact, and easy to use, the Sekonic L-398A incorporates a battery-less amorphous photocell, which enables you to take accurate ambient light readings anywhere, anytime. The Sekonic L-398A’s swivel head allows you to hold down the metering button and ‘walk the set’ to check light levels. Release the button, and the needle locks down the meter’s analog display needle for easy-to-read exposure calculations. Exposures are displayed for both still and cine applications. Incident measurements can be taken with the over 180-degree Lumisphere for general readings of three-dimensional objects, or with the Lumidisc selective area readings, measuring the lighting ratios between highlights and shadow areas or light falling on flat-field objects such as artwork, measurements outdoors or under bright studio lights. For reflected readings, a flat Lumigrid replaces the Lumisphere. If you plan on shooting with a fixed ISO and shutter speed, an optional Slide Set (Direct Reading Slides) that make it easier to take readings in fast-paced shooting scenarios.
