Converts the electrical bulkhead of any Ikelite DS strobe into a fiber optic port.
The Fiber Optic Converter features heightened sensitivity for the most reliable fiber optic triggering of Ikelite DS strobes. This Converter is required for use with SEA&SEA or Nauticam housings with internal electrical-to-optical flash triggering devices. These devices translate the camera's electrical signals into a series of LED flashes which are much less bright than a traditional built-in camera flash.
Compared to the Fiber Optic Adapter (1st Gen), upgraded electronics make this Converter capable of accurately reading these signals for fast and reliable triggering with these devices. Like the original Fiber Optic Adapter (1st Gen), the Fiber Optic Converter is also compatible with any system where the camera's built-in flash can be seen by a fiber optic cord.
For remote optical slave triggering off another flash without a cable, consider the Optical Slave Converter, see below.
The Fiber Optic Converter automatically configures itself for compatibility with both pre-flash and non pre-flash camera modes. No setting of small switches or confusion over number of pre-flashes. Simply turn on your strobe and take one picture to configure.
This adapter is a manual exposure (non-TTL) trigger only. The strobe's output may be adjusted using the manual power settings built into the strobe (varies by model).
An individual Fiber Optic Converter is needed for each strobe. Use of two strobes requires two Fiber Optic Converters. The Fiber Optic Converter supports DS50, DS51, DS125, DS160 and DS161 strobes.
Used with the Ikelite remote TTL Slave Adaptor, Ikeltie EV controller or any Spotting Light Adaptor.
Matching with ULCS, Ikelite, Sea & Sea,
Material: corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy (6061) hard anodized finish.
The AF35's built-in sensor transmits data from the camera's flash to the AF35 strobe, varying the strobe's power automatically to replicate TTL exposure. The AF35 sensor is positioned to provide the most reliable strobe triggering possible without exposed cables which require maintenance and can tangle or break.
Two large, easy to read dials provide all of the settings necessary for control of the flash system. The AF35 strobe rear dial features OFF, Auto (TTL) plus six Manual Power settings. The AF35 sensor rear dial provides simple plus/minus EV exposure compensation in the Auto (TTL) mode. The system's comfortable rubberized grip and neutral buoyancy make it a pleasurable addition to any housing. A flexible arm system allows quick repositioning of the strobe angle and adds no weight to the system.
A simple battery door is easy to remove and replace and provides a clear view of the o-ring seal. The strobe's battery compartment is independently sealed from the electronics preventing further damage in the event of a flood.
This kit includes everything you need to add a strobe to almost any Ikelite compact digital housing, plus other housings featuring 1/4-20 mounting like Canon, Olympus, Sony and more!
A popular Modular Lens Extension for use with popular zoom lenses including the Nikon 12-24mm and Canon 10-22mm. The extension threads onto the base of either the Modular 8-inch Dome or the Modular Glass Flat Front for simple assembly and use in a wide variety of applications.
Accommodates lenses up to 4.125-inch (10.5 cm) long and 3.3-inch (8.4 cm) in diameter when used with the Modular 8-inch Dome. Accommodates lenses up to 4-inch (10.2 cm) long when used with the Modular Glass Flat Front.
