The ProMaster 52mm Basis filter can be used to remove or control reflections, improve contrast & saturation, or darken blue skies.
A CPL filter is a valuable creative tool. Its quality should complement your lens by handling light well and providing a clear, sharp image to the camera’s digital sensor of film. Polished optical glass, a special multi-coating formula, and high-grade polarizing film combine to achieve high light transmission and low light reflectivity. All ProMaster Basis filters have the same size filter thread on the front and back. So, they are compatible with your lens cap, and they can be stacked with other, same-size filters.
Why use a CPL filter?
A CPL is one of the most highly used filters in both still photography and videography, and with good reason. The effects of a polarizing filter are difficult or sometimes impossible to imitate in post-production software. These effects can be used to create beautiful compositions.

The ProMaster 52mm Circular Polarizer Pure Light filter can be used to remove or control reflections, improve contrast & saturation, or darken blue skies. It also protects your valuable lens against the elements such as sand, dirt, oil, water, and even fingerprints.
Thanks to a special combination of hydrophobic coatings, finely polished SchottTM B270 optical glass, and top-of-the-line polarizing films Pure Light CPL filters have a high light transmission rating, very low light reflectivity, and are color neutral. This equates to a pure transfer of the image to your camera’s digital sensor or film while gaining the creative benefits of a circular polarizing filter. Not only do these filters offer excellent protection for your lens against sand, dirt, oil, water, and fingerprints; but they are also easy to clean. Plus, any camera’s auto focus system works perfectly with a Pure Light CPL.
Each Pure Light filter has a matte black coating applied to the very edge of its glass before being carefully set into its anodized aluminum frame. This reduces the possibility of internal reflections as light passes through.
All ProMaster Pure Light filters have the same size filter thread on the front and back. So, they are compatible with your lens cap, and they can be stacked with other, same-size filters. They also come in a terrific, eco-friendly snap case. This case serves two purposes

OVERVIEW
Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarized and ProMaster Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc.
They also enable colors to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds.
ProMaster polarizers do not affect the overall color balance of a shot.
It is important that you choose the correct version of ProMaster Polarizer for your camera. Many of today's cameras use semi-silvered mirrors or prisms to split the light entering the viewfinder in order to calculate exposure and focusing distance. Polarizing filters can sometimes interact with these items to give unpredictable exposure or focusing. So we recommend that you choose a circular polarizer unless you have a manual focus camera which has no beam splitter.
If you will be using your Polarizing filter on a lens which has a full frame focal length of 28mm or wider, we recommend that you use a ProMaster Digital HD Filter to avoid a possible vignette effect.
