The PROMASTER 4021 Column Tilt Adapter expands the capability of your XC-M 522 aluminum or XC-M 522C carbon fiber tripod by giving its center column the freedom to tilt 180° (90° up & 90° down). This adapter essentially converts your XC-M's center column into a multi-position, adjustable boom.
Just unscrew the weight hook from the center column, loosen the center column twist lock and slide it out of the tripod. Replace it with the 4021 Column Tilt Adapter, tighten the twist lock, and open the flip lock on the Column Tilt Adapter. Insert the center column and close the flip lock. This conversion can easily be done in less than 30 seconds. That's all there is too it!
Once your XC-M 522 has been converted you can reinstall the weight hook to the bottom of the adapter and add weight for more stability. A second, retractable weight hook is included with this adapter which you can use at the end of the boom (end of the center column) to counterweight your camera.
To operate the boom, loosen the main knob on the 4021 Adapter while holding your camera and then tilt the assembly into whatever position you like before tightening the knob. To rotate the boom, loosen the twist lock on the yoke of the tripod and spin the adapter. To extend or retract the boom use the twist lock on the column to adjust its upper stage.
This adapter has a number of teeth machined within its joint to give it an excellent amount of holding power in various tilt positions. Be sure to tighten its main knob before you release your camera to prevent it from falling.
The 4021 Column Tilt Adapter can be installed and used permanently on your XC-M 522, if you so choose, because it can achieve the same vertical position as the 'normal' center column when needed.
Truth be told, this is a wicked-cool accessory. It's great for macro work, extending your camera over a tabletop or a flowing creek. And it makes other tripods highly jealous.

ProMaster's 3594 Leg Warmers are specifically designed for use with ProMaster XC-M 522 and XC-M 522C tripods. This kit of 3 warmers fits the 3 XC-M522 tripod legs perfectly. Simply wrap a leg warmer around the upper leg section of the tripod and zip it up. Now the leg is protected from scratches while covered in a soft sleeve. The warmers are much easier on your hands in cold weather too since they protect your skin from having direct contact with cold metal. And when you convert your XC-M tripod into its monopod mode, the warmer continues to perform as a soft, warm spot to hold on to.
Installing the leg warmers takes a bit of time and concentration since you have to line up the zipper while pulling the warmer tight around the leg. Be patient! Since it is an exact fitting item there is no slack in the fabric to ensure excellent performance once installed.

3503 is a replacement set of 3 standard feet for any XC-M 522 aluminum orcarbon fiber tripod. These are a great, inexpensive replacement set if you happen to lose or damage the standard feet on an XC-M 522 tripod.
The XC-M 522 standard feet are normally installed on the tripod from the factory. They are designed to be removable, thereby exposing a 3/8"-16 threaded port on the bottom of each XC-M 522 leg. The threaded ports can be used for connecting other accessories, like the popular All Terrain Feet (ProMaster product code 3510). If you need to replace any, or all 3 of the standard feet on a ProMaster XC-M 522 tripod this set is your solution.
