Barndoors are a light shaping tool that allow the photographer to sculpt the light by moving the adjusting surface of the barndoors. There are many different methods of mounting barndoors. Some barndoors mount onto a mounting frame, some clamp directly onto the reflectors wile others don't need a reflector at all and mount directly onto the light unit.
